The draft Administrative Measures on Cosmetic Registration issued on July 21, 2020, presents a basic regulatory framework for the registration and notification of finished products and new cosmetic ingredients in China. On August 28, 2020, China National Institutes for Food and Drug Control released the draft Instructions for Cosmetic Registration and Notification Dossiers, a detailed guide for companies to prepare documents for the application, modification, renewal, and cancellation of cosmetic registration and notification. The Instruction also stipulates that general cosmetics can be exempt from mandatory animal testing with well-substantiated safety assessment results.
In the webinar, Winnie Xu will expound the main points of the draft Instructions, highlight the changes brought by the new regulation and their impact, and finally give insightful regulatory compliance recommendations to cosmetic companies on coping with the new requirements.
